n February 1968, Leopold Stokowski (at 85!) and his American Symphony Orchestra gave the opening concert in the new Madison Square Garden building. The programme included Sergei Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini, op. 43 with Jerome Lowenthal at the piano. This is a rehearsal from the day before the concert.
Stokowski conducted the premiere of the Rhapsody in 1934 with Sergei Rachmaninoff in Baltimore.
